Early Learning Enrolments

The Castlereagh Early Learning Centre provides specialised early learning programs for children (K-3) with complex communication and learning needs.  Our ELC offers small classroom sizes with a high staff ratio. Our flexible child-centred education program supports children with disability, Autism, developmental challenges and other additional needs. The emphasis is on the development of communication, regulation, fine and gross motor, social, thinking and learning skills in a play based communication rich environment.

Transition to Castlereagh Early Learning Centre

At Castlereagh School we provide a range of transition programs that are tailored to each individual child. This may include starting school for the first time or transitioning from another school. New students are provided with a social story and given the opportunity to spend time in their new class to meet staff and students.  Transition days can range from a single half day to a series of full days depending on the child. A parent is welcome to stay with their child during the first few sessions as a transition.

Children with high medical needs

If your child has high medical needs, our two onsite nurses provide outstanding health care, support and help to families.  The teacher works closely with the nursing team to ensure your child is safe and receives the very best of support.
